Future high-speed ferry service proposed
A high-speed ferry service operating between Bridgeport, Stamford and New York is in the works. The trip from Bridgeport to Stamford should take less than 45 minutes and help reduce traffic on the already jammed Interstate 95.
A recently completed (Aug 06) feasibility study shows that a high speed ferry service to operate between Bridgeport, Stamford and Manhattan would provide a safe and viable commuting alternative that would be competitive in both pricing and travel time commuting alternative that would be competitive in both pricing and travel time.
