Bridgeport Port Authority Executive Director, Joseph Riccio says, “PortofBridgeport.com helps the authority to service our clientele and encourage port development as well as local tourism.”
The Bridgeport Port Authority is a quasi public-private entity established by state statute and local ordinance to promote trade and commerce as well as develop and promote port facilities. The authority has directed the development of the Bridgeport Regional Maritime Complex which includes Derecktor Shipyards and the site of the barge container service. The authority has also developed ferry terminal and dock for the Bridgeport Port Jefferson ferry and is looking to develop a high speed ferry service from Bridgeport to Stamford.
The Authorityʼs new website was produced by a new Bridgeport Web Design company called YouGotWeb.com.
